Show business can be very competitive sometimes, but fortunately, the competitive nature of Hollywood can be put aside by anyone who is willing to open up. Hollywood long-term friendships often begin on the screen and turn into real lifelong bonds, and many of them still bloom like a flower to this day.
- Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer
Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer have been close friends since their early Hollywood days, but still, over the years they’ve never gotten the chance to work together until last year when they ended up playing the 2 main roles in the movie, Thunder Force. Both of them were so excited when they found out that they were going to be working on the same set together. As they stated, their 25-year-old friendship just got stronger with this opportunity.
2. Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift
Both Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are known for making headlines due to their breakups. But through their friendship, they’ve always supported each other. They became friends back in 2008 while both dating Jonas brothers. Their friendship got stronger and stronger over the years, and according to Gomez’s Instagram post, they recently celebrated her thirtieth birthday together.
- Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne
Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne’s friendship started when they were both 15 years old. They’ve been seen a lot together in the past, but after several years and sharing the screen in Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, the longtime friends decided to team up for Hulu’s TV show, Only Murders in the Building.
- Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow
The 2 met on the cast of the iconic show, Friends, where they acted together for 10 years. The unforgettable sitcom not only played a vital role in the start of their successful careers, but it also helped them form a very strong bond. It created something like a family relationship between them.
- Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio
The iconic duo’s friendship takes us back to 1997 when they stole our hearts with the award-winning movie, Titanic. Their strong relationship began while filming for the iconic film, with Leonardo DiCaprio being 22 and Kate Winslet, 21. More than 25 years later, their bond never faded away, as Winslet stated, “He is my friend, my very close friend. We are connected for the rest of our lives.”
- Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire
Thanks to the fact that they were both child actors when they met, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire were meant to be best friends. Their friendship might not have been intentional at first, however, by working together, the 2 became very good pals. Over the years, they never stopped sharing the screen together and have been friends for more than 30 years now.
- Courteney Cox and Laura Dern
Courteney Cox and Laura Dern have celebrated Christmas Eve together with their kids for more than 14 years straight. Both Courteney Cox and Laura Dern shared their photos on Instagram.
- Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria befriended each other more than 15 years ago in 2007, when the Beckham family moved to the United Stated because of David Beckham’s contract with the Los Angeles soccer club, LA Galaxy. Ever since, they’ve been publicly open about their relationship. They often show up to random coffee dates or brunch just to catch up with each other.
- Robert De Niro And Martin Scorsese
Martin and Robert have known each other since they were just teens. They met at the age of 16, however, they didn’t cross paths until the year 1973. Martin Scorsese is a well-known and appreciated director who has shown his great talent through many movies, like Taxi Driver, Good Fellas, The Irishman, Cape Fear, and many more classic mobster flicks.
There’s something all the films above have in common: Robert De Niro acted in all of them. He has appeared in 9 out of 25 Scorsese films, proving that they love working together. However, their relationship isn’t strictly confined to the entertainment industry — they are also incredible buddies and have a lifelong friendship to enjoy.
- Ian McKellen And Patrick Stewart
Their bromance, like many other Hollywood friendships, started on-screen and turned into a real-life friendship. The pals have known each other for more than 40 years, and they become really close only a couple of decades ago when they both got the opportunity to costar in the X-Men movie in 2000. Since then, they’ve considered themselves best friends, and their friendship is still thriving, even today.
